FRT Robotics Prevents Industrial Accidents with Rough Terrain Driving Robots
FRT Robotics, a company specializing in wearable and rough terrain driving robots, located in Gyeongsan City, Gyeongsangbuk-do (CEO Jae-ho Jang, pictured), is composed of researchers from government-funded research institutes.
FRT Robotics develops and manufactures wearable robots for extreme environments and operates a safety management platform based on data collected from the robots.
Since securing the high-power exoskeleton robot suit-based technology for the realization of super soldier/labor in 2009, it has achieved results such as upper and lower body exoskeleton mechanism technology, user intention detection technology, and wearable muscle strengthening robot technology development.
In 2022, the hydraulic wearable robot developed in-house received the Prime Minister's Award (Gold Prize) for Excellent Design in Korea and obtained ISO9001, KC, CE, and IPX4 certifications.
The technology developed by FRT Robotics provides relevant data at research and development sites, contributing to the prevention of industrial accidents and the reduction of social costs.
