FRT Robotics and WOOAH Co., Ltd. Sign Social Contribution Agreement with the Korean Red Cross (Gyeongnam Chapter) and Deliver Donation

The Korean Red Cross Gyeongnam Chapter (Chairman Hee-soon Park) announced on Monday, the 22nd, that FRT Robotics (CEO Jae-ho Jang) and WOOAH Co., Ltd. (Chairman Young-hwa Jung) held a donation ceremony and signed a social contribution agreement to foster disaster management professionals.

FRT Robotics and WOOAH each delivered development funds of KRW 5 million and KRW 2 million, respectively, to the Department of Disaster Management at Dong-A University’s Graduate School. This agreement was established as part of an industry-academic collaboration aimed at systematically cultivating experts capable of responding to future disaster environments.

The signing ceremony was attended by key representatives, including FRT Robotics CEO Jae-ho Jang, WOOAH Chairman Young-hwa Jung (who also serves as Chairman of the Gyeongnam Robot Industry Association), Professor Dong-kyu Lee of Dong-A University’s Department of Disaster Management, and Korean Red Cross Gyeongnam Chapter Chairman Hee-soon Park. Through their donations, both companies expressed their commitment to creating an environment where students can devote themselves more fully to their studies and research.

CEO Jae-ho Jang, who recently began serving as an adjunct professor at Dong-A University’s Department of Disaster Management, remarked, “Wearable robot technology can play a crucial role in saving lives and reducing damage in disaster sites. I am pleased to contribute to nurturing convergent talents who understand future technologies and can apply them directly in the field.”

Chairman Young-hwa Jung, who also serves as a central committee member of the Korean Red Cross, stated, “As Chairman of the Gyeongnam Robot Industry Association, I have always considered how robotic technology can make a social contribution. Recognizing the importance of disaster relief, I hope this donation will provide meaningful support to the development of the disaster management field.”

 

Chairman Hee-soon Park of the Korean Red Cross Gyeongnam Chapter expressed gratitude, saying, “We deeply appreciate your commitment and support for fostering disaster management professionals. With this agreement, we look forward to working with FRT Robotics and WOOAH to put humanitarian activities into practice in our local community.”
